Nationwide Fire Incidence Data and Information System
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) contracted with AppGeo to develop innovative solutions that can process, store and serve large amounts of fire service related data such as fire incidents, fire operations, and health and wellness to decision makers. The data submission process has been streamlined to improve the ease in which the 30,000 different fire departments operating nationally can communicate their activities. By using scalable, cloud-based serverless technology, AppGeo has created a system to expedite the incident reporting time making it query-ready at a national scale in a standard usable format. The increased availability of critical public safety information is poised to change how public safety officials and fire prevention advocates plan, analyze, respond, and communicate about emergency activities. To ensure the success of the solution, AppGeo provides on-demand managed services and system training for system users.
