Boston, MA – Applied Geographics (AppGeo), a national geospatial consulting and services firm, has become the latest Google Cloud partner to attain certification for Location-Based Services.

AppGeo has earned their Location-Based Services designation by completing and servicing a number of location-based projects. By earning this accolade, AppGeo demonstrates a further level in building customer solutions that include Location-Based Services, such as the Google Maps Platform.’

In addition to Google Cloud offerings, AppGeo has expertise with Google’s full line of Maps products, such as the licensing of Google Maps APIs. In receiving the certification, AppGeo nominated projects from Rutgers University’s Campus Mapping application and Texas Department of Transportation’s DriveTexas application. Both applications heavily involve the use of the Google Cloud Platform and Google Maps APIs. After vetting the nominees, Google recognized AppGeo for their location-based contributions.

“We thrive on building tech-enabled application solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and appreciate when our customer-oriented efforts and value added are recognized,” commented Rich Grady, President at AppGeo. “Google’s recognition of our Location-Based Services capabilities helps to validate the success and satisfaction of our customers who directly benefit from AppGeo being a Google Cloud Partner, leveraging GCP in innovative and effective ways.”
